Hey WakeCrew,

Let’s talk about something that has a WAY bigger impact on your lives than most people realize.

The first 10 minutes.

This is when your followers get the notification that you’re live, and when they’re most likely to join if they’re available.

It’s also when TikTok is quietly watching what’s happening in your room.

Are people staying?
Are they chatting?
Are they engaging?

Those first signals help decide if your live gets pushed to more people… or not.

So yeah, those first minutes matter. A lot.

First rule: be ready before you hit Go Live.
Game loaded.
Music playing.
Camera and sound set.
Mentally present.

If you seem unprepared or quiet, people don’t think “they just started.”
They think “I came too early, I’ll come back later” (and most don’t).

So even if no one is there yet, keep talking.

Talk about:

  • What you’re about to do

  • Your day

  • Something funny that happened

  • What’s coming later in the live

Because when someone joins and hears you already talking, it feels easier to stay.

Make it easy for people to break the ice.

Instead of deep questions, ask things people can answer instantly:

  • Where are you watching from?

  • Are you on your phone or TV?

  • Did you already eat tonight?

When you ask questions, you’re basically opening the door and saying “you’re invited.”

And people LOVE to feel invited.

Create a little early goal for chat.

You can say things like:

  • Who’s going to be the first one to comment?

  • We’ll start the match when we hit 2,000 likes

  • Share the live and let’s get everyone in here

Then when someone does it, hype them up.
Make them feel seen. That energy spreads fast.

That video you posted before going live?
It’s still getting pushed while you’re live.

So now:

  • Your followers are joining from notifications

  • New people are arriving from your video

Which makes the first 10 minutes even more important, because that’s when all that traffic collides.

You want that moment to feel alive, welcoming, and worth staying for.

Traffic + energy = momentum.
And momentum is what grows your live.

⚡ This Week’s Warm-Up Play

First 10-Minute Checklist

Before you hit Go Live, quick check:

☑️ Camera & sound are ready
☑️ Game / activity is already loaded
☑️ Background music is playing (or your vibe is set)
☑️ You know what you’ll talk about first
☑️ You have at least one easy question ready for chat

If you can check these off, you’re already ahead of most creators.

You don’t need perfect. You just need ready.

What to Say If No One’s There Yet

Because yes… it happens to everyone 😅

If chat is quiet, try talking about:

• What you’re about to do on this live
• Something funny or annoying that happened today
• What happened on your last live
• What you’re excited about this week

And keep asking simple questions like:
“Where are you watching from?”
“Did you already eat?”
“Am I the only one tired today?”

Silence kills momentum.
Your voice creates it.

🎯 Tiny Challenge for This Week

Before every live this week:

• Be fully ready before you hit Go Live
• Have 2 things to talk about and 1 easy question ready
• Set a small early goal for chat (likes, comments, shares)

Then watch what happens to:

  • Early engagement

  • How long people stay

  • Your overall live momentum

Small prep. Big results.

You don’t need to be louder or fake hype.
Just ready, present, and welcoming.

That alone can change everything.

If you try this this week, hit reply and tell us if you saw a difference. We actually read them.

Much love,
Max & Mel ⚡
